There are wedding days that feel special, and then there are wedding weekends that feel like a chapter you never want to close. Grace and Mark’s celebration at The Munro in Skaneateles, NY was one of those weekends; intentional, family-focused, and full of meaning from start to finish.
The Munro is one of the newest wedding venues in the Finger Lakes, but the jewel of the property is the historic 1850s Gothic Revival house that is located on the grounds. Grand, charming, and full of character, when I first walked through this house, my jaw was quite literally on the ground. Grace and Mark spent the weekend here with their family and friends, which made everything feel that much more grounded and comfortable! And seriously, I am obsessed with the Munro house! Filled with vintage furniture and so many fun details, I never wanted to stop taking photos here!
Their weekend kicked off with a Skaneateles Lake boat tour welcome party; hors d’oeuvres, incredible views, and the best company surrounding them. From there, everyone headed to Grace’s aunt’s house for a tented gathering and Peruvian food, a meaningful nod to Grace’s time spent in Peru and a perfect start to the festivities.
On the wedding day, we began with getting ready at The Munro (gorgeous!). The morning brought a bit of rain, but it ended up being a gift, giving us the chance to use the beautiful interior spaces for portraits. Grace and Mark shared a first look on the covered porch before we traveled down to Skaneateles Lake for lakeside photos once the rain cleared.
Their ceremony took place beneath the willow tree on The Munro property, a setting that felt peaceful, intimate, and down-right beautiful. Guests gathered under overcast sky as Grace and Mark exchanged vows surrounded by nature, history, and so much love.
Cocktail hour was filled with personal touches, including one of Grace’s must-have photos: her and Mark enjoying oysters, a perfect little snapshot of who they are together. Dinner was catered by Moro’s Table (unreal food), Silver Arrow Band kept the dance floor full all night, and Eliza Jane Events ensured the entire day flowed effortlessly. One of the most emotional moments came during Grace’s father’s speech, a pause in the evening where everyone felt the weight and beauty of the day.
Grace and Mark, what a privilege it was to be there. Your weekend was full of heart, and it was an honor to document every moment.
