Hi, I’m Madison and I’m obsessed with wedding photography. As you read through this perfectly curated website, I want to take a moment and be real with you.
Wedding photography is my passion, it’s a dream come true knowing that I get to play a part in your wedding day. That I get to witness and photograph your love, see your parents cry, listen to your best friends’ speeches, and observe the intimate moments between you and your person.
I will never take this for granted; that you are choosing to trust me with the sacredness of your wedding day, to be one of the few people who get to witness it in whole.
When you book me as your wedding photographer, you’re getting more than just someone who takes beautiful photos. You’re getting someone who is truly excited for your day, to get to know you and your families, and to create artfully crafted images of this emotional day.
Truly,
Madison Vaughn
My husband and I have a rather unconventional wedding story. We eloped on the cliffs of Big Sur, California; just the two of us, our officiant, and our photographer. It was intimate, relaxed, and perfectly us.
The following year we hosted an informal wedding weekend for our families and friends in New York. It’s during this weekend, that my understanding about the gravity of weddings truly set in. Family gathered at the same table for dinner, my mother and grandmother helped me into my dress, the first look with my father, tears in his eyes as he saw me in a wedding dress for the first time, my father-in-law beaming at his son, my grandfather playing our first dance song, our combined family, tears streaming down their faces during our ceremony.
It’s these small moments, that pass by in mere seconds, that made my wedding so meaningful to me.
And it’s the photos of these moments, even moments I didn’t realize were happening at the time, that make me tear up again and again while looking through my wedding gallery. It’s these moments that matter more than any portrait, however beautiful. It’s these moments I promise to anticipate, notice, and capture, so that you and your future spouse can have that same warm and fuzzy feeling that I do as you look through your wedding gallery.
